Running a newsletter when your brain's a ping-pong match of "I have so much to say" and "Do I even have anything to say?"—it's a goddamn nightmare.
Ever get pumped up, fingers flying across the keys, only to smack into the wall of a blinking cursor? Been there, right? It's like, "Do I even have anything worth saying, or am I just making keyboard noises?" The struggle is real.
So, here I am, neck-deep in this sea of ideas, surfing the wave of inspiration. Everything's flowing, ideas crashing like waves, and then, out of nowhere, my brain pulls a Houdini on me. No warning, no memo, just a swift decision—it's beach vacation time for the brain.
Imagine the chaos. I'm mid-sentence, excited about the reaction I’m going to get from this piece, and then—bam! The brain's gone for a chill session.
But hey, I've learned to roll with it. The brain deserves its beach days, I guess. And who knows, maybe it’s mixing up a creative cocktail or working on a background score for my next wave of brilliance.
And even when you summon all the courage from god knows where, it doesn’t guarantee anything.
I once hit "send" on a newsletter thinking it was pure gold. The response? Crickets. Nothing. But it's cool. We live, we learn, we hit "send" again.
Hats off to people like Apeksha Gupta who constantly fight these internal battles and come out as winners every freaking time.
Let’s chat about that sneaky 'unsubscribe' button. It's like the lurking ghost in the background, reminding us not every newsletter will be a smash hit. But hey, it's cool to have those nights of newsletter silence. Genius doesn’t follow a schedule, and brilliance can't be summoned on command.
So, if you’re caught in the whirlwind of "I have so much to say" and "Do I even have anything to say," take a chill pill. Embrace the silent nights; they're not black holes, just artistic pauses. Your writing is a laid-back journey, not a sprint. Your voice isn’t measured by word count but by the vibe it throws.
As the cursor blinks, wondering when it'll get some action, remember: your words are like secret handshakes. It's not about how many you throw out but the connection they make with your readers.
Until next time,
Mad Ad Woman
